We continue to provide sustainable solutions with our cumulative rubber technology in areas of “Safety, Disaster Mitigation, and Environment Awareness”. Rubber has the infinite possibilities. In order to utilize and maximize the advantages of rubber, we incorporate rubber with other materials that is our technical expertise to provide high performance solutions.

Natural disasters such as earthquake or flooding are not controllable. However, it is possible to create an environment which allows minimizing the damage with wisdom and ingenuity. Our activities do not remain only in Japan. We would like to send our message and expand our activities to the world. A Limited Partnership, Shibata Rubber Industries, was established in Kobe to produce rubber boots.
1949
A Limited Partnership was dissolved. Shibata Rubber Industrial CO.,LTD. was established.
1961
Started production of marine rubber fenders.
1962
Started production of flexible intermediate bulk container, “S-CON”.
1968
Started production of waterproof sheet, “S-SHEET”.
1970
Company name was changed to SHIBATA INDUSTRIAL CO.,LTD.
1979
Developed shock-absorbing hybrid material, “Rubber Chainer”.
1983
Developed silicon rubber sheet, “Silicon Fine Sheet”.
1985
Developed abrasion-resistant construction material, “Rubber Steel”.
1999
Acquired attestation of ISO9001 and ISO14001.
2003
SHIBATA ASIA SDN.BHD. was established in Malaysia.
